Twin Cities Independence Day Celebration

This July 4th weekend marks a once-in-a-generation milestone — the 250th birthday of the United States of America. To honor this extraordinary occasion, the cities of McCaysville, Georgia and Copperhill, Tennessee are joining forces for an unforgettable two-day celebration. Spanning both sides of the state line, our Twin Cities come together as one community to celebrate freedom, family, and the American spirit.

City of Copperhill Announces New Trash Pickup Schedule

The City of Copperhill is implementing a change to the residential trash pickup schedule following a resolution passed by the Board of Mayor and Aldermen during the February 2025 meeting. Beginning the first week in March, trash collection will shift from the current twice-a-week service to once-a-week pickup, scheduled every Thursday.

Copperhill’s Star Shines Again

Mayor Greg Barker expressed his heartfelt gratitude to Tri-State EMC and local community volunteers for their dedication in helping restore the illuminated star on Cemetery Hill. The star, a symbol of Copperhill’s heritage and pride, had been temporarily out of service due to electrical issues.
