This July 4th weekend marks a once-in-a-generation milestone — the 250th birthday of the United States of America. To honor this extraordinary occasion, the cities of McCaysville, Georgia and Copperhill, Tennessee are joining forces for an unforgettable two-day celebration.

The Twin Cities Celebrate
The cities of McCaysville, Georgia and Copperhill, Tennessee sit at a unique place in America — literally straddling the state line, united by the Toccoa/Ocoee River and a shared history stretching back generations. This summer, both cities are proud to host a full weekend of patriotic events for residents, families, and visitors from across the region.
From the Freedom Parade through both downtowns to the Great American Rodeo at Copperhill Ballpark, from the Fishing Rodeo on the Toccoa River to the Twin Cities Market on the historic steel bridge that connects our two states — every event is designed to bring people together in the spirit of community and freedom.
Between the festivities, we invite you to explore everything our twin cities have to offer. Bring your bicycles, e-bikes, scooters, or wagons decked out in your best Red, White & Blue for a shot at cash prizes and the $100 overall grand prize! All ages are welcome, and dressing up in costume is highly encouraged to score extra points before we hit the parade route!
