PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE
The Board of Mayor and Aldermen of the City of Copperhill, Tennessee, will hold a public hearing during its regular Board of Mayor and Aldermen meeting on Monday, August 18, 2025 at 5:30 p.m. at Copperhill City Hall, 160 Main Street, Copperhill, TN 37317.
The purpose of the hearing is to receive public comments on a proposed ordinance amending Title 8 of the Copperhill Municipal Code and the City’s Zoning Ordinance and Map related to the sale and distribution of alcoholic beverages.
Summary of Proposed Changes:
Alcohol sales and service (including Class 1, 2, 3, and Special Occasion Permits) will be permitted in the following zoning districts: C-1 (Central Business District), C-2 (General Commercial District), I-1 (Industrial District). Special Occasion Permits may also be issued for events in public spaces, subject to city approval.. Alcohol sales will remain prohibited in all residential zoning districts (R-1, R-2, R-3) without exception. Section 8-216(1–7) of the Municipal Code will be repealed and replaced with new language reflecting these zoning updates.
