Twin Cities Market Returns for 2026, Driving Local Economic Growth and Community Connection in Copperhill and McCaysville
Copperhill, TN / McCaysville, GA: The Twin Cities Market is back for the 2026 season, bringing renewed energy to the downtown districts of Copperhill, Tennessee and McCaysville, Georgia. This unique market is designed not only to support local businesses and entrepreneurs, but also to encourage residents to rediscover, engage with, and take pride in their own hometowns.
Managed by Tina Rice, Market Manager, the Twin Cities Market is a joint effort between the City of Copperhill and the City of McCaysville, working together to strengthen local commerce, increase foot traffic in downtown areas, and create meaningful opportunities for residents and visitors to experience the best of the Twin Cities.
The market will officially open on Saturday, May 23, 2026, and run every Saturday through the end of October, from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
Held in the scenic area surrounding the historic steel bridge connecting the two cities, where the Toccoa River becomes the Ocoee River, the market offers a walkable destination that brings both sides of the state line together while highlighting the character and charm of the region.
“The Twin Cities Market is about investing in what we already have right here at home,” said Tina Rice. “It creates an opportunity for our local businesses, farmers, and makers to grow, while also encouraging residents to spend time in their downtowns and support the people and places that make this community unique.”
Mayor Greg Barker of Copperhill emphasized both the economic and community impact. “It’s exciting to see the strong support we’ve received from the community and the positive feedback from our downtown business owners,” said Mayor Barker. “Last season showed us how important it is for residents to be engaged and present in their own community. Our local businesses rely on that support. This market is a great way to bring people downtown, strengthen our local economy, and remind everyone that this is our hometown.”
Each week, the market will feature a diverse mix of vendors offering:
- Artisanal and handmade goods
- Fresh baked treats and specialty foods
- Local crafts and artwork
- Seasonal plants and flowers
- Fresh, locally grown produce
Whether you’re shopping for fresh ingredients, looking for a unique gift, or simply enjoying time along the river, the Twin Cities Market provides a one-of-a-kind experience that directly supports small businesses while creating a vibrant and welcoming downtown atmosphere.
Vendor applications will be available beginning April 1, 2026. Vendors are encouraged to apply early, as space is limited. Seasonal vendor spaces are available for just $50, offering an accessible opportunity for local entrepreneurs, farmers, and artisans to grow their businesses and be part of a thriving local tradition.
