Copperhill’s Star Shines Again

Copperhill’s Star Shines Again

Mayor Greg Barker expressed his heartfelt gratitude to Tri-State EMC and local community volunteers for their dedication in helping restore the illuminated star on Cemetery Hill. The star, a beloved fixture of Copperhill during the holidays, had been temporarily out of service due to electrical issues.

The restoration project was a joint effort between Tri-State EMC, which provided the technical expertise and resources to resolve the electrical issues, and local volunteers who assisted with the necessary repairs and paid for materials. Together, they ensured the star would once again be visible to all who pass through the city.

For over 30 years, the star on Cemetery Hill has been a beloved Copperhill fixture for both residents and visitors alike. The restoration marks a significant milestone in the city’s ongoing commitment to preserving its cultural landmarks and fostering community engagement.

“I want to extend my personal thanks to everyone involved,” said Mayor Barker.  “Without the expertise of Tri-State EMC and the hard work and donations of our local volunteers, this would not have been possible. We are incredibly fortunate to have such a dedicated and caring community.”

The restored star will continue to be a shining beacon for Copperhill, representing the resilience and togetherness of its people.
