Know more about

Municipal Planning Commission

The Planning Commission plays a crucial role in shaping the city’s future by overseeing land use, development, and community growth. As an advisory body to the Mayor and Board of Aldermen, the Commission ensures that development projects align with the city’s comprehensive plan, zoning ordinances, and community vision.

What We Do

Who We Are

The Planning Commission consists of five members. Two of these are the mayor and an alderman, while the other three are community members appointed by the mayor. The mayor and alderman’s term run concurrently with their terms of office. The remaining members have a five year appointment.

Stay Informed and Get Involved

The Planning Commission values the voice of our community. Residents are encouraged to attend meetings, participate in workshops, and share their feedback on city development projects. Your involvement helps ensure that our city’s growth remains inclusive, thoughtful, and responsive to community needs.

Together, we can build a thriving, forward-thinking community!
