St. Catherine Laboure Catholic Church

St. Catherine Laboure Catholic Church is located at 115 Main Street in Copperhill, Tennessee, and serves a diverse congregation from Tennessee, Georgia, and North Carolina. The church is uniquely situated on the state line, with its front entrance in Tennessee and the altar positioned in Georgia.

Founded in the mid-20th century, the church traces its roots to early Catholic gatherings held in parishioners’ homes. In the late 1940s, plans to establish a permanent church were realized with support from the Catholic Church Extension Society. The church was named in honor of St. Catherine Laboure and officially dedicated in 1950.

St. Catherine Laboure Catholic Church is dedicated to faith, prayer, and service, reflecting the values of its patron saint and the wider Catholic tradition. The parish continues to be an active part of the Copperhill community, offering worship services and outreach programs throughout the year.
