Meraki Souq

Meraki Souq is an authentic Middle Eastern and Mediterranean market located in the heart of Copperhill, Tennessee at 110 Ocoee Street, Copperhill, TN. Founded by Mathew Maloof and Jenn Danner, the shop merges Mathew’s Lebanese family recipes with Jenn’s original art, featuring a curated selection of artisanal goods alongside freshly prepared street food.

The Concept

The name “Meraki” means doing something with love, passion, and creativity, while “Souq” is the Arabic word for marketplace. The shop acts as both a community gathering space and a retail experience, offering a mix of:

• Maza Plates: Generous portions of lamb, beef, or chicken served over Lebanese rice.
• Drinks & Desserts: Traditional Arabic coffee, fresh brewed iced mint tea with real mint, and stand out baklava.
• Middle Eastern Groceries: Specialty spices, traditional ingredients, and imports.
• Local Art: Handcrafted artwork and goods created by Jenn.

The menu is built around fresh, from-scratch Middle Eastern street food inspired by generations of family recipes. Meraki Souq moved to their expanded, newly renovated space on Ocoee Street in Copperhill. It primarily functions as a carry-out market, but does offer a few small tables inside as well as an outdoor deck for al fresco dining.
